Donald Trump is wasting little time putting his imprint on the Republican Party just days after becoming its presumptive presidential nominee.
As the Republican National Committee meets here Friday for its spring meeting, members are set to elevate Trump’s endorsed candidates – North Carolina GOP chairman Michael Whatley and the former president’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump – to serve as the organization’s new chair and co-chair, respectively.
The two are expected to be quickly elected to succeed RNC chairwoman Ronna McDaniel and RNC co-chairman Drew McKissick, committee officials told CNN. Whatley and Lara Trump face no challengers.
Trump is also planning to install two of his senior advisers, Chris LaCivita and James Blair, to serve in senior positions at the RNC. LaCivita is expected to take on the role of the committee’s chief operating officer, while Blair will help drive the RNC’s political strategy, sources familiar with the plans told CNN. Both will continue in their roles as advisers to Trump’s 2024 campaign.
The leadership changes aren’t entirely out of the ordinary. A national committee is typically overhauled after the party has a de facto or official presidential nominee. The changes normally come in the form of a new chairperson or a top official from the presidential campaign moving over to the committee.

HAIR ON FIRE!!
Um, I think it started 7 years ago.
This is good. Change is good. Democrats as well need a new face and new blood.
Donaldus Magnus.

George HW Bush, George W. Bush, Jeb Bush, George P. Bush, Hillary Clinton, Ronna Romney.
I don’t like the idea of Lara Trump taking the role.
“Donaldus Magnus.”
Me likey! I have been saying for the past two years that the GOP has a significant Mcproblem:
McConnell
McDaniel
McCarthy
The Mcproblems ended today.
George HW Bush, George W. Bush, Jeb Bush, George P. Bush, Hillary Clinton, Ronna Romney.
Agreed, nepotism is bad no matter who is engaging in it.

Ordinarily I would tend to agree, but in this case I’ll give Trump a hard pass. Why? Both the DNC and GOP uniparty have both proven themselves to be little more than status quo hacks.
Trump tried to play their game, but they knifed him in the back, repeatedly.
This time around, Trump will do it his way.
Does anyone know what her salary will be? Trump himself worked for basically nothing, giving away his salary to various non-profits. Also, it's worth noting that he didn't hire her, he endorsed her candidacy for the position, and no one else was competing for the spot so she wasn't favored over anyone else.
Me neither.
Maybe the RNC will actually do something to thwart the Dem 2024 election attempts at cheating as opposed to last time when they did nothing.
