Since you're only 10 years old by FR time, if Truth Social "failed" as you call it, let me remind you that Free Republic failed in the same way during EVERY Bush State of the Union Address too, and we're still here.

The DDoS attacks were real, and it took the Robinson's a very long time to bullet-proof this site from those attacks.

It's possible that we're no longer the alternative power site that we once were in the 2000s and maybe the hackers have moved on to newer sites with a more desirable demographic, but all that means is that those sites will tighten their security for the next time now that they know their vulnerabilities.

It's premature to call anything "failed" at this time.

I''ve got over 40 years in IT, Truth Social started out a failure to launch, has never recovered, and tonight, such high promise of play-by-play and it failed spectacularly. You can't cover that up. It is a shame but they went cheap on staff, didn't hire IT experts to run it, just has-been political hack (Devin Nunes).

Yes, I've been on FR for 16 years and seen it have its ups and downs. Too often down in middle of debates, etc. But that's a bit different than Truth Social that Trump put forward as his online voice. He should, as I wrote earlier, sell it for $1 to Musk, and get back on X.

And no claims or proof Truth Social was subject to DDoS attacks. Maybe just overtaxed by people wanting to watch Trump's play-by-play thread.
