Well, unlike the incoherence we were expecting, he was unnaturally hyped up. He was able to read the speech without fumbling and mumbling too much (until near the end) but was speaking unnaturally fast and angrily, almost to the point of shouting. That’s probably an effect of whatever they used to pump him up, plus his natural belligerence. He started the speech “defending democracy”, invoking J6 and how terrible and dangerous it was for our country. It had all the demagoguery of a speech by Mussolini or Hitler. The rest of the speech, he went from subject to subject, touting how great his administration has been and will continue to be - distorting the facts and outright lying all the way. Not surprisingly, the left side of the aisle cheered loudly at whatever he said.
Near the end of the speech he started to go off script a little, and even had a back and forth with some Republicans who called him out on his claim the Republicans want to cut Social Security. Finally, near the end, he started to lose focus and mumble a bit. If I were to sum up his demeanor in one word, I would say “Angry”. One other point. Superficially, he was able to get through most of the speech fairly well, his eyes were squinted the whole time just staring at the teleprompter, as if he has no real idea what he was saying but just wanted to rush the words out.
Great post. You know I am going to be compassionate here. What they are using as a *cocktail* to get him in front of a camera has got to be poison to what’s left of his brain and his body. Does his wife love him? Or like most of the Uni Party, is it all for power? How sad to be so consumed for power that you would allow this to happen to the person you are supposed to love most.
Getting back to the current state of affairs. I just keep coming back to my view if they manage to steal 24, Texas will succeed, There will be Civil Wat and this country is finished. Simple as that.
