Voters in Huntington Beach approved a measure this week that limits what flags can fly on city property.
Measure B passed with more than 58% of the vote following Tuesday’s polling, according to the Orange County Registrar of Voters election results.
Part of the measure states that only the United States flag, the State of California flag, the County of Orange flag, the City of Huntington Beach flag, the POW-MIA flag, the six Armed Forces flags and the Olympic flag during the Summer Olympic Games be displayed on City property.

Common sense
Run Roh! Will ‘grabem nuisance’ somehow get that over ruled? Stay tuned...... 😂👍
This started a long time ago with POW flags. That got expanded to a bunch of other social issue flags that most people accepted. But, like everything else, that gradually expanded into flying flags of groups that aren’t widely accepted and wedge issue groups. Its better to just ban them all.
We need separation of state and faggotry
No S&M flags or Trans flags showing the sexual mutilation of children?
Good first step.
Lets hope the next step is banning sexual weirdo ‘kink flags’ from all California schools.
Not to disparage vets or POWs, but we are WAY past time to put the POW-MIA flags away.
It’s the same as if we were flying WW ONE flags in 1970! The Vietnam war is that far in the rear view mirror.
Glad to see the people of Orange County are taking a stand against supporting filth and degeneracy.
Pride now means Pervert Parade
A few months ago, it was pointed out that the Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper album is closer in time to WWI than it is to now.
> we are WAY past time to put the POW-MIA flags away <
I have mixed feeling about that. Are there any POWs still missing? Is Vietnam still hiding some of them? If so, keep the flag up. If not, perhaps it’s time to retire it.
On the other hand, the flag just might remind folks to stay out of stupid foreign wars. I dunno. Maybe keep the flag up until the last Vietnam vet passes away.
By the way, the last American WW1 vet to pass away was Frank Buckles (in 2011).

Makes sense
California just legalized sodomy. I'm getting out of here before they make it mandatory.
It’s a pity you have to ban all flags so you can ban the poofter flag but that is the world we are in.
Well said.
I grew up in HB, we have a huge passion for being Patriotic Americans
As much as I agree that virtue-signaling flags are out of control, I see a huge red flag==violation of the First Amendment. And as much as I despise the virtues being signaled, I have no problem looking the other way without the need for legislation. Their flag today, your thoughts tomorrow......

The POW-MIA flag isn’t just for Vietnam.
There are still tens of thousands listed as MIA going as far back as WW2.

Let's make it clear...This new law is only for Huntington Beach...
There are other cities, in Orange County, which would not mind flying homosexual flags...
Laguna Beach is south of Huntington Beach...Laguna Beach is very friendly to homosexuals...I am sure Laguna Beach has no problem flying gay flags...
