He was talking specifically about what he claimed were issues with using it to detect HIV, which was already pointed out to you. Moreover, Mullis at the time of those remarks also believed HIV did not cause AIDS, which has is a belief long since discredited, which makes even those remarks outdated and inaccurate, even if you buy into twisting them to say the test doesn’t detect any disease.

I researched the PCR and Mullis did say it was a laboratory assay and not a medical diagnostic test and could not be used to diagnose disease.
