A letter from the IDF Intelligence Corps warning of the Hamas attack was supposed to have been delivered to the Prime Minister. The massacre happened first.

Brigadier General Amit Sa'ar, the head of the investigations department in the IDF Intelligence Corps, wrote a serious warning that was supposed to be sent to the Prime Minister and the Political Security Cabinet after the holiday of Simchat Torah regarding a possible Hamas attack.

Kan reports that Sa'ar warned in the letter that Iran, Hamas, and Hezbollah believe they had an opportunity to attack Israel, according to intelligence the IDF had collected.

He stated that the opportunity in question stemmed from the internal conflicts in Israel and the IDF's preparedness at the time. He also added that senior officials in Iran believed that the time for attacking Israel and causing it critical damage had finally arrived.

Question: Do you think that the Axis of evil is looking to attack the US soon? Do WE have internal conflicts here in the US and are we prepared? I believe that plans are already on the table to attack the US by our adversaries. This will be a time of testing for US resolve. I pray that we can return to our belief in God!

When was that not ever the case? It sounds about as vague as Bush getting a brief note saying that al Qaeda plans to hijack airplanes. It lacks the when and where, with only general info about who and how.

The point was made that we are just vulnerable as they were then, maybe more so, because of our divided house and lack of preparedness. I am not criticising Israeli preparedness, but warning of ours.

Yes, that was the point. We are in fact as divided as we’ve ever been, and at a time when millions of unknowns from around the world are being escorted into the country illegally with no background checks. You’d have to be blind not to see the warning signs.

I am afraid there is a lot of blindness in the land. We are so distracted by more stimuli than we can handle, and not taught to use the proper filters for the noise.
