Yanukovych was on too good of terms with Russia. He betrayed Ukraine by selling out to the Russians and reneging on the Ukraine-EU agreement that he had earlier supported and which had been approved by the parliament. The Ukrainian people, not the CIA, removed him. In any case, there were two elections afterwards in which the Ukrainian people, not the CIA, chose the president. Any CIA involvement was incidental. Maidan would have happened without it. The CIA is not the all-powerful boogeyman that some believe. Regardless of what had happened in 2014, it does not justify Russia’s invasion.
Putin poison a president of Ukraine a decade before 2014. But the nutbags are not interested in the historical facts at hand here. There’s no armchair fun in that, apparently.
Now there’s a convoluted way to say “We meddled where we should not have.”
