CDC ending five-day COVID isolation guidance

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is no longer recommending Americans stay home from work or school for five days after testing positive for COVID-19, a major shift in policy that comes as much of the country has moved on from the height of the pandemic.

The new guidance aligns COVID recommendations with other respiratory viral illnesses such as flu and RSV.

The simplified guidance recommends that even if they don’t know what virus is causing the illness, people should stay home when they are sick and symptomatic and resume normal activities if their symptoms have been improving and they are fever-free for at least 24 hours without any medication.

People who are at higher risk for severe illness who start to feel sick should seek health care right away, the agency said.

Is it safe to come out of the house yet?

I’ve been inside with my mask on for almost four years now.

This was the way it used to be before anyone ever heard of CoVid.

It should be guidance that if you have a cold or flu or fever you stay home and stop spreading diseases around.

Yes, it should, but then how would people get perfect attendance awards?

It’s good advice for folks to stay home when they’re sick but, especially with viral illness, you can be infectious before you’re symptomatic.

Best advice: Worry less about what others are doing. Focus on living a healthy lifestyle and wash yer paws. :-)

The popular home Covid tests have been shown to have such a high failure rate that the results are almost meaningless.

“The researchers found that people without COVID-19 symptoms correctly tested positive in 58.1 percent of rapid tests.”

That implies that people without COVID-19 symptoms incorrectly tested positive 42 percent of the time. But the way these tests have been promoted makes it nearly impossible to know anything for sure about them or their results.

I never tested positive for Covid. So I didn’t have to worry about the CDC recommendations.

Never took a Covid test, either.

The CDC “experts were wrong about almost everything else to do with the Fauci Flu (masks; “distancing”; “vaccines”, etc.). Just another addition to the list ... and another reason why it’s better for your physical health, as well as your mental well-being, if you ignore most everything the self-proclaimed medical “experts” (another form of “bureaucrat”) advise in the name of “medical” science when, in fact, they practice “political” science.
