Pro tip: Everytime you are tempted to use the word “they,” parse the sentence to make sure you don’t have a conflict between subject and predicate in number.

Use of "they" like that is just wrong. Every time I read a sentence from a Wokester that uses "they" in that fashion...my mind recoils and has to stop to "translate" (no pun intended).
