Thanks for the ping to the Trump 2024 thread, edie.
Looking forward to reading it.
Just got home from Slaveway (Safeway to those who don’t work there) and it was an utter ZOO.
Crazy crowded before Easter.
I got the last spiral sliced ham, feel blessed.
Slaveway gave all employees a free ham.
Hubby tried to get one 2 days ago and nope, couldn’t.
BTW youngest son made a move from the bakery to fresh cut.
He said 4 years in the bakery was enough.
This is his 15th year anniversary with Slaveway.

The Army is opening the doors to retired soldiers to return to active duty to fill critical worldwide shortages. This follows the Air Force's February announcement that it would allow up to 1,000 retirees, including pilots, to return to active duty for up to four years.
I got the last spiral sliced ham, feel blessed.

Gov. Kathy Hochul was asked to leave the wake for slain NYPD Officer Jonathan Diller on Friday afternoon.
Hochul arrived at the Massapequa Funeral Home on Long Island for the second day of viewings around 1:45 p.m.
She was only in the venue for about 10 minutes before she was asked to leave, law enforcement sources told The Post.
On her way to her car, the governor appeared to be confronted by a man in a black suit, who gestured while speaking intensely.
Several cops waiting outside the funeral home clapped as he walked away.
Thank you for that thread link, Edie!

Thanks so much, Jane for sharing that glorious NY Post Cover from the other FR thread.
I’ve been online for over 20 years.I know how to cut & paste as well as take screen shots but must learn how to open up and post a FULL image as you know how to do.
Will ask my IT pro nephew sometime soon how to add this to my skills. Great to learn new things when you’re looking at turning 64 in May.
Biden camp sets sights on RFK Jr. as some polling suggests he could hand race to Trump
Perot, Nader, now RFK? Some polls are indicating that RFK may, like Ross Perot and Ralph Nader, siphon enough votes away to change the election outcome.

President Joe Biden and his Democratic allies have turned their attacks toward independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. amid polling data suggesting his candidacy could draw more votes from the Democratic incumbent than from former President Donald Trump and hand the race to the ex-commander-in-chief.
A Quinnipiac University survey released this week showed Biden leading Trump 48% to 45% in a hypothetical two-way matchup. Should the race include third-party candidates, however, such as Kennedy, the Green Party’s Jill Stein, and independent Cornel West, Trump would become the narrow favorite. In that scenario, Trump garnered 39% support to Biden’s 38%, with Kennedy, Stein, and West drawing 13%, 4%, and 3%, respectively. The poll comes with a caveat that “There is no clear leader in either of these matchups because the leads are within the margin of error.”
The data appears to suggest that Kennedy could prove to be a spoiler against a Biden win and Kennedy’s recent choice of vice president, Nicole Shanahan, has many political figures viewing his campaign as a more progressive effort. Shanahan, the ex-wife of Google cofounder Sergey Brin, has a long history of donating to progressive politicians.
Democrats, for their part, are discernably worried that Kennedy and Shanahan’s potential pull with the left-wing of their party could undercut Biden’s bid and that the Republicans could seek to bolster his campaign in some capacity.

Does that include those forced retirements for refusing the vax?
I got the last spiral sliced ham, feel blessed.
Slaveway gave all employees a free ham.
>>>So glad you were finally able to get your Easter ham.
Hope your youngest son is now happy working in fresh cut.
Finally, your hubby’s experience at not being able to buy your ham a couple days ago probably is more attributed to a normal Holiday demand; yet it does make me ponder how dire the supply chain is going to be impacted as a result of our Key Bridge catastrophe shutting down the Baltimore Harbor port.
*****Wishing you, your family and ALL my FRiends a Blessed Easter weekend.
In other words, help we are in YUGE trouble here.
Maybe it’s time to dump the WOKE agenda and things might turn around for the military.
Otherwise, I don’t think retirees will be returning.
🤣😂🤣😂
That is my older kids favorite Christmas movie.
Hochul has a lot of nerve.
Didn’t she call for defunding the police?
I would have asked her to leave too.
It was just a photo op for her.
GREAT question!!
