Under Pa. law, defendants can be charged with murder of an unborn child, facing the same penalties as a regular charge of murder. An unborn child is defined by Pa. law as “from fertilization to live birth.”Pennsylvania is among 31 states that deem non-abortion deaths of fetuses at any stage of development as homicide. Other states require viability outside the womb or define victimhood only in the latter stages of pregnancy.
I will never understand how the state can allow a doctor to murder a child and it not be considered a homicide as well.
