We see now why she was let go, and why they kept her notes. Birds of a commie feather, flock together.

Looks like FBI material was leaked to Herridge imagine if the FBI did that to some Conservative-Republican someone supporting Trump someone associated with J6.
Imagine giving dirt on one of us to the FBI and some reporter doing the story making us look bad.
They did it to a Chinese-American accused of Chinese military connections so everyone is taking her side in this story.
Technically the First Amendment applies to Herridge but the spirit of this not good ole First Amendment journalism IMHO.

... wrote Cooper, who was nominated to the bench by former President Barack Obama. Ah, yes, that clarifies the whole thing.
What administration illegally spied on several journalists? Yep, that one.
Thanks, GOP, for letting that all completely slide.

"Herridge, who was recently laid off by CBS News, published an investigative series for Fox News in 2017 that examined Chen’s ties to the Chinese military and raised questions about whether the scientist was using a professional school she founded in Virginia to help the Chinese government get information about American servicemembers."
When the story first broke, I suspected the seizure of her files by CBS was related to the China case, which was investigated by Herridge when she was at Fox News.
So now they're back to putting the squeeze on Herridge, not having found what they were looking for. Smart girl, that one.
The bigger question in my mind is who put the pressure on CBS (I'm guessing it is elements in the US government). And it looks like there are more figures/institutions compromised by China than we suspect. Scary thought.
Side note: I notice a parallel with the raid on Mar a Lago re: "the binder".

fascist judge waited to impose contempt fine AFTER Herridge was no longer employed by CBS and therefore vulnerable as an individual without the backing by a wealthy corporation ...
