President Joe Biden came in second place in Michigan’s Democrat primary in Dearborn to the ballot option “uncommitted,” underscoring his deep unpopularity with the predominantly Muslim and Arab American voter base in the community.
The city of Dearborn’s election results show that “uncommitted” landed 6,432 votes, or 57 percent of the city’s total. It earned nearly 2,000 more votes than Biden at 4,526, which is 40 percent.
The result in Dearborn – “home to the largest Muslim population in the U.S.,” as the Michigan Advance reported in October – comes as the war between Israel and Hamas has fractured the left, with Democrats trying to hold together their coalition as pro-Palestinaians demand a ceasefire in the war.

2020 Michigan vote differential 154188 votes.
Michigan Muslim population 214828, which does skew younger via the enormous Muslim birthrate, in the US and global.
Nationally about 21% of the raw population is < 18. For Muslims that will likely be 30%. So of that 214828 population about 150379 of the 214828 will be adults.
Call it 70% turnout (typical for Michigan Muslims) and that’s 105K of the state’s electorate are Muslims.
The key here is to understand that 105K is votes lost if they stay home. There is a double whammy if they switch to Trump. It would be 105K lost Biden votes that become added Trump votes.
This would exceed the 2020 differential, but of course all will not stay home or switch. This is likely about 50K of the 150K differential added to Trump. Quite a lot, actually, especially when added to recent polling that moves other votes to him.

That’s probably true, but if the senile old pudding brain in the White House keeps promoting what these Muslims see as pro-Israel policies, they might stay home and not vote. Short of calling for the immediate disbandment of the nation of Israel and the immediate takeover of all of Israel by Palestinians, it would be tough to think of any policy that they would not consider to be pro-Israel.
Even old mush brain won’t go that far, so it isn’t likely that these Muslims will support him. There is certainly hope that they might stay home and that could make a big difference in a close election in MI.
