Remember that gang shooting in Puerto Rico from around two years ago? It was a pretty graphic display of gang violence, with modified Glocks with the 30+ round magazines heavily featured. They seemed effective enough, although the shooters probably had lots of familiarity with the “switch”.
There are probably places on the island where one could practice compared to the hood.
