For more than a decade? Try since the late 1940s. We spent several decades supporting OUN, and OUN-B. We were dropping supplies and men to help Bandera attack the Soviets. The german Nazi Gehlen organization helped with the Intel about Ukraine. All good doing the Cold War stuff. But the Cold War ended over 30 years ago and we kept supporting Ukrainian Nazis.

“Millions of Ukrainians had just overrun the country’s pro-Kremlin government and the president, Viktor Yanukovych, and his spy chiefs had fled to Russia. In the tumult, a fragile pro-Western government quickly took power.

The government’s new spy chief, Valentyn Nalyvaichenko, arrived at the headquarters of the domestic intelligence agency and found a pile of smoldering documents in the courtyard. Inside, many of the computers had been wiped or were infected with Russian malware.

“It was empty. No lights. No leadership. Nobody was there,” Mr. Nalyvaichenko said in an interview.

He went to an office and called the C.I.A. station chief and the local head of MI6. It was near midnight but he summoned them to the building, asked for help in rebuilding the agency from the ground up, and proposed a three-way partnership. “That’s how it all started,” Mr. Nalyvaichenko said”

Two things, I didn’t think it was a coup? It was just a normal constitutional process in Kiev. I guess now it was a government overthrow after all. And two, I CIA an Mi-6 didn’t have anything going on. And then this one Ukrainian calls and says hey, we need your help let’s form a partnership in the wake of all this chaos. It’s ridiculous that this is their story. Only a dumb ass would believe it.

I was reading about the “imminent” counteroffensive in the media for months before it happened. The media here had hardons for it. It seemed to me US officials were the ones telegraphing the details lol.

LOL. They talked about their “counter-offense” in the world media for about 6 months prior. They can’t help themselves with their need to prop up their propaganda narrative.

It was the least surprising military attack in the history of the world.

“It’s not exactly the height of military intelligence to notice the build up, the endless news stories, movement of equipment, signals Intel etc.”

That was my take. Electronic and satellite surveillance is so sophisticated now it would be impossible to stage a large land based offensive without the other side knowing what you are going to do.

The terrain is mostly flat and open. Russia has air superiority and spy satellites like the US. Who needs leaks when the battlefield is an open book?

Same stupidity DiFi showed by telling the media the type shoes Richard Ramirez was wearing when he murdered people.

He immediately changed the shoes he wore.

Ignorance or self importance jeopardized the Night Stalker case.

Hey Zelensky, How about just maybe your PLAN SUCKED? Trying to blame a leak of intel on your failure is a weak position.

So, just maybe the Plan Sucked. Is that an option Zelensky?

With today’s tech there is no such thing as keeping a large military operation secret. Every movement of troops and equipment is watched 24/7.

Did it make a difference? When your plan is all smoke and mirrors to fool your patrons does it matter if it’s leaked? More excuse propaganda.

The Ukrainians never tried to hide what their plans were for their counteroffensive. It was announced to the world.
