For Academy Award-winning actress Hilary Swank, starring in “Ordinary Angels,” the true story about a woman who rallied her local community to save a young girl’s life, allowed her to use her platform to spread a message of hope and service at a time when it's desperately needed.
The 49-year-old actress plays Sharon Stevens in “Ordinary Angels,” from Kingdom Story Company and Lionsgate, a hairdresser struggling with alcoholism and estrangement from her son.
But after discovering the story of Michelle, a little girl in need of a liver transplant in the local newspaper, Sharon pours her energy into raising funds for the surgery. movie.”
“Ordinary Angels” is the latest project from Jon and Andy Erwin, the brothers behind the wildly successful faith-based films “Jesus Revolution” and “I Can Only Imagine,” and is directed by Jon Gun (“Case for Christ").
Addressing the star power of Swank and Ritchson — who stars in “Reacher,” one of the most popular shows on Amazon Prime — Erwin said it’s evidence of Hollywood's awakening to the underserved faith community.
Though released in theaters today, “Ordinary Angels” has been screened across U.S. churches for the last several months — and Erwin said the response, especially from pastors, has been “incredible.”
When we show it to audiences, it brings them to tears, and it brings them to their feet; they're cheering at the end.
It’s exactly what we need right now.”

She started out doing a pro trans move playing a girl posing as a boy, and also a pro-euthanasia movie as a boxer.
Seems she's heading in a better direction lately.
I’ll probably get roasted for this, but I’m a big fan of “The Core.”
A fine motion picture. Stanley Tucci steals the show, true, but Swank makes skanky sexy.
Waiting for it to start as I type.
I usually watch movies I like, more than once. I liked “Million Dollar Baby", but I could never watch it again. I would say it was pro-euthanasia like Old Yeller was. Just too sad to watch and full of despicable people in an accurate portrayal of life’s potential for cruelty.
Clint Eastwood made a movie worth watching - but only once.
Enjoy!
Thank You.
yes its a tough one i wont watch it again like gran torino great movie
Dude, a little warning would be nice. Almost put me into cardiac arrest!
Hilary recently gave birth to twins back in Spring of 2023.
She was at least 48 when they were born.
I had never seen her (Hilary) look so joyful, throughout the pregnancy. As they used to say; she was ‘radiant’.
She has a husband (!), so that will make raising the children a lot easier. Their names are Aya for the boy and Ohm for the girl.
Ohm? I bet the name met with resistance!
I plan on watching this movie.
That nice to hear. She is fantastic in this movie. She deserves to win an award.
I would like to see it again if it comes to the independent theater near us.
It’s fun.
Ha-ha! Very good.
Real bad@$$ as Reacher!
