A three-year-old girl was brutally beaten to death by two young suspects while her mother allegedly went to the casino to gamble with a friend.
Terica Scott, 26, and Dineshia Yates, 26, were each charged with one count of principal to simple battery and principal to second-degree murder in the death of Blessings Buckles, according to records obtained by Law&Crime.
The unnamed juveniles - ages 10 and 12 - were detained and each charged with one count of battery and second-degree murder.
On February 12, deputies with the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office responded to a call at around 3:45PM after getting reports of an unresponsive three-year-old girl at a home on the 3300 block of O'Neal Lane.
At the time of the call, the caller - who identified themselves as a child - told the dispatcher that there were no adults in the home, a release from the sheriff's department reads.
As they arrived on the scene, first responders reported seeing the two women pulling into the driveway of the home with their hazard lights on.
The women would inform police that they had left the children at the home while they had gone to the casino, with the ages of the children inside the home ranging from 11 months to 12 years old. Authorities would later determine that Scott was the mother and aunt of the two older children while Yates was the mother of Blessings.
Blessings was resuscitated at the home by emergency medical personnel and rushed to hospital for treatment, where she was admitted as being in critical condition. She would later succumb to her injuries and was pronounced dead on Feb 14.
The toddler suffered a brain bleed as well as bruising to the face and body which were likely caused by blunt force trauma...

In Louisiana, and 33 other states, there is no age requirement to leave your child home alone. So the mother was not breaking the law. It’s a case of two thugs beating the girl to death. And with the report of the types of injuries, it could not have been an accident.
Problem is that if they were 18, or close to that age, they would be tried as adults. But at the age they are, it will be treated differently. I’m a believer that the parents of the attackers should be held responsible because they were not properly supervising their kids who are willing to accomplish this type of crime. Let the parents take the rap. And if they were released for violent crime by a judge previously, that judge should also be held responsible.

And the mother and her friend should be charged with Negligent Homicide and spend the rest of their worthless lives in prison.
Also according to Democrats this could be classified as a late term abortion ... no charges necessary.
We had no issue being left alone after 10-12yo but I wasnt raised a violent feral...

I was going to post the same thing. Growing up in the 1950s it was common for the older kids to look after the younger ones. I doubt any kid at the time would even think of beating up a toddler (and if they had the thought the other kids wold have beat them down).
Very violent people...I am assuming all the players here are black based on the few clues in the article.

I babysat when I was 10, 11. My parents didn’t raise savage, pitiless, heartless animals.

We watched our feral mama stand threateningly between her babies and a big buck deer to protect her kids. (The deer wouldn’t have hurt them. He was just curious, but Mama didn’t know that.)
There’s been a push, such as by the Boston Celtics in MA, to up the age at which perps can be tried as adults to 21!
No mention of any fathers.
