The VP role is mostly ceremonial, so it's all about the bit of vote swing they bring. Well said. I get your point about her helping Trump (possibly) get more of the white suburban female vote, but that’s overridden by the need to have someone solidly MAGA in the VP spot. The VP job, itself, may be mostly ceremonial, but it suddenly becomes very important if Trump is removed from office. This time around, Trump needs to disincentivize his removal with a VP choice who’s as solidly MAGA as he is.
