The “motor voter” laws have given illegals the “right” to vote in most states for years. I’ve worked numerous elections in Hillsborough County, Florida as a poll worker and all we needed to do to hand them a ballot was to scan their Florida driver’s license into the state’s database. As long as the license came up current and valid they were allowed to vote. So what the hell is the big deal about this ruling in New York? The Florida Legislature long ago declared asking anyone in Florida to prove citizenship was burdensome and unconstitutional. So they are not asked. What’s more, the reverse side of the scanner provides the voter with a view of the statement they are signing, entirely in Spanish.

The Feds are the ones who created motor voter requirements.

And, the Supreme Court in 2013 decided that States cannot add citizenship requirements to voter registration.

Lastly, the Voting Rights Act requires ballots to be available in various languages.

I think Congress needs to add an Amendment REQUIRING citizenship checks for ALL voters - PERIOD! That would pretty much GUT the Democrat-led BS motor voter scheme to make illegals eligible to vote!

As for the language requirements, I have no truck with providing ballots and information in the language most comfortable to any LEGAL voter.
