Laura presented these names to Trump at a townhall and all he said was that they’d all be good choices because he’s learned politics and he’s learned to be diplomatic. Only a self-centered person would feel the need to keep sniping to Trump about it.

Did Trump say he was on short list? An interviewer asked Trump if he would pick a VP from a list of names including DeSantis that the interviewer provided. I think all Trump said was that was a good list.
Speculation on who the VP pick will be is a waste of time, there's six months to go before the Convention.

Did Trump say he [DeSantis] was on short list? NO he did NOT. People here that keep asserting this need to provide a direct quote from Trump saying this. I haven't seen one yet.
