Was known during the hearing.

He was deferential to her, obviously afraid of her.

Should have recused.

Oh, give the poor guy a break already. This man has to run for re-election in Atlanta, home of, and totally controlled by the most disgruntled whiney racists black power players in the entire country. Fanny has been making all the rounds to all the black mega churches whipping up racial hatred, the likes of which are off the chart, and if this man benches Fanny he might as well just go ahead and resign, and move out of Georgia.

I think this is nonsense. This judge was a rising star and Fani Willis was in a dead-end position when he brieffly worked for her.

I posted this timeline of their careers two days ago:

Comparing the work histories of both Judge Scott McAfee and Fani Willis, it looks to me like McAfee was the rising star and his stint under Willis was incidental.

Consider:

  1. Willis graduated from Emory University School of Law in 1996. Her first job was as a solicitor prosecuting misdemeanors and city ordinance violations.

  2. McAfee graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law, cum laude, in 2013, interning for Georgia Supreme Court justice Keith R. Blackwell in his senior year. McAfee's first assignment was an assistant district attorney in the Barrow County, Georgia, Piedmont Judicial Circuit.

  3. Willis spent 16 years as a prosecutor in the Fulton County district attorney's office, eventually leading the complex trial division.

  4. In 2014-2015 (+18 years from graduation), Willis became an assistant district attorney, prosecuting 12 Atlanta Public School teachers for changing answers entered by students to inflate the scores of state administered standardized tests.

  5. McAfee joined the office of the district attorney in Fulton County, Georgia in 2015 (+2 years after graduating). Between 2015-2018, he worked on the early stages of criminal cases, and was promoted to working as a prosecutor in the complex trial division (under Fani Willis).

  6. In 2018 (+22), Willis went into private practice. She ran for a seat on the Fulton County Superior Court, and lost.

  7. In 2019 (+6), McAfee was appointed as an assistant United States Attorney for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.

  8. In 2019 (+23), Willis became Chief Municipal Judge for South Fulton, Georgia.

  9. In 2021 (+8), Georgia governor Brian Kemp appointed McAfee as the state inspector general.

  10. In 2020 (+24), Willis was elected district attorney for Fulton County.

  11. In December 2022 (+9), Gov. Kemp appointed McAfee to the Fulton County Superior Court.

It's pretty clear from comparing the timelines of their careers, that McAfee spent two years early in his career in the division headed by Willis. He was then fast-tracked into higher positions in the judiciary departments.

Willis looks like her career stalled after spending 22 years in the Fulton County District Attorney's office. She left to pursue private practice and lower court judgeships. Willis ran for DA against her former boss (and emasculated black man) Paul Howard, Jr. and won.

Now, here's the real kick-in-the-pants:

  1. During the campaign, Howard was accused of violating public disclosure laws when he used his two nonprofits to funnel $195,000 of Atlanta city funds to his personal bank account without disclosing his role as CEO. Howard later admitted to the public disclosure violations and agreed to pay a $6,500 fine.
  2. Also during the campaign, Howard was accused of sexual harassment, abuse of power, and creating a hostile work environment by Cathy Carter, a paralegal and records supervisor who worked under Howard's tenure for 15 years. Carter claimed that Howard sexually harassed her and coerced her into engaging in intimate activities, including encounters within his office at the Fulton County Courthouse. Howard was found not guilty in December 2023.
It seems like the apple doesn't fall far from the tree over at the Fulton County District Attorney's office.
I guess it's a "black thing" in Fulton County to funnel public funds for one's personal benefit, and to run a hostile work environment where staffers are expected to sleep with the boss.

Once work with Fani, he was Appointed by Brian Kemp, works the Atlanta area.

In 2019, McAfee was appointed as an assistant United States Attorney for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. He worked in the criminal division where he investigated and prosecuted drug trafficking organizations, fraud, and illegal firearms possession. On April 1, 2021, Georgia governor Brian Kemp appointed McAfee as the state inspector general. WTF? went from assistant United States Attorney to state inspector general? That a strange career move.

Now is a Judge in the HOT Bed of Georgia politics (DEMs).

So McAfee, tell me where you will be in 5 years.... and how will you get there?

My BET is that Fani stays!

In Atlanta you’d need a clothespin on your nose NOT to smell one. The Atlanta city government is run for, by and of black Democrats.

Further proof that these trials and legal action against Trump are nothing more than vicious Democrat assaults. They’re making a mockery out of the judicial system.

The judiciary in the U.S. is being exposed as a bunch of politicians. First we had the refusal of courts to address the obvious election fraud in 2020, sanctioning lawyers for trying to show the evidence, etc. Now we have the retribution against Trump and his followers. Judicial reform is on the menu now. The judges are too powerful, and corrupt.

He’s a brand new Judge, Fani is completely unqualified and it shows, Nathan Wade’s only prior experience is in traffic court and of course in Fani’s Fanny !
