NYU Langone Health has announced plans to open a brand new ambulatory care facility in South Florida following a $75 million gift by the Julia Koch Family Foundation.
The West Palm Beach facility, set to open in 2026, will be the first new Florida location since 2017 for NYU Langone, which has received consistent recognition as one of the best hospital systems in the country.
The eight-story, state-of-the-art health facility, to be located at 324 Datura Street, will have space for 50 physicians and serve around 150,000 patients each year.
It will offer 76,000 square feet of clinical space, including on-demand specialty care in a wide range of areas including internal medicine, primary care, oncology and pain management.
The opening of the facility is in part intended to serve the needs of the growing population of New Yorkers either moving to Florida or spending their winters in the Sunshine State.

Florida and Texas have the highest numbers of Obamacare signups, so it’s all about the federal funding.
They aren’t moving, they are opening a new facility in Florida, all the NYU Langone facilities currently in NY will remain open.
Will they be hiring Floridians, or importing NY’ers here?
The richest of the rich are fleeing NYC, and many are headed to Palm Beach. They need their familiar first-class health care system when they get there and this paves the way for more to leave.. Wouldn’t be surprised if Sloan-Kettering does the same.
NYC is going the way of San Francisco. A once nice profitable city infected with leftism.

First I’d heard that.
Do you have a link handy, for that?
TIA.
You know those lights were bright on Broadway
That was so many years ago
Before we all lived here in Florida
Before the Mafia took over Mexico
There are not many who remember
They say a handful still survive
To tell the world about
The way the lights went out
And keep the memory alive

I was surprised when I looked it up. I thought the numbers would be lower in conservative states and higher in Democrat states.
Many of them are probably illegals and immigrants, who don’t share America’s disdain for government.
Too bad they can’t but if they could Florida would be better off screening and limiting the number of New Yorkers moving into the state. Ultimately they will do more harm to Florida than the migrants.
It took several hundred years for Rome to depopulate.
The process has been ongoing for decades. New York State has lost an amazing 19 seats in Congress (and electoral votes) since 1950. It had 45 congressional districts in 1950. It has 26 districts today.
Donald Trump won more votes in New York City in the 2020 election that he won in 5 states in 2020. Not everyone in NYC is stupid or crazy.
Good for us because they are in network with our insurance
