30% of the GOP voting base would proactively deep six her in any general election at this point. She has no political viability going foraward, period, unless she switches parties.

Watch her for Haley to get any of three kinds of roles, perhaps two of them even, courtesy of her billionaire supporters: a collection of lucrative corporate directorships; a Senate seat in North Carolina, perhaps as replacement for Thom Tillis; or even an appointment in the Trump administration.

As for the well-earned grass roots GOP hostility to Haley, it could be overcome through a strong endorsement and support from Trump. Why would he do that? There are people wealthy enough to tell Trump, in effect, help Haley and we will fill up the GOP's coffers for the next two or three election cycles.

I have seen enough such deals in politics to strip away most illusions about what cannot happen. Enough money support, seamy but legally applied, can make the impossible happen in politics.
