Nikki Haley is five laps into the Daytona 500. She’s driving a jalopy with a top speed of 50 mph.

As for the well-earned grass roots GOP hostility to Haley, it could be overcome through a strong endorsement and support from Trump. Why would he do that? There are people wealthy enough to tell Trump, in effect, help Haley and we will fill up the GOP's coffers for the next two or three election cycles.
I have seen enough such deals in politics to strip away most illusions about what cannot happen. Enough money support, seamy but legally applied, can make the impossible happen in politics.

Agree. She is not getting out now. Nikki will make a pitch for Democrats and Independents to help her defeat Trump in this open primary state. Her ads are everywhere. She is outspending Trump by a lot in SC. I get three or four robo calls a day supporting Haley.
Nikki has committed political suicide by her mean and vile attacks against Trump. Nikki is doing exactly what her donors want. Smear Trump and his supporters. She has even voiced the possibility that she might not even endorse or vote for Trump should he get the nomination.
And this just after she proclaimed she had defeated 13 “of the fellas. . . and there is just one fella left.”
And why wait? She knows she’s going to lose, why not deliver the victory speech today?
