Victor Davis Hanson: Delusions, Alternate Realities, and the Biden Consortium
American Greatness ^ | 19 Feb, 2024 | Victor Davis Hanson

Posted on 02/19/2024 5:27:17 AM PST by MtnClimber

The Biden apparat has tried to present the construct of a dynamic president promoting a traditional Democratic agenda, which has succeeded brilliantly. Sustaining that lie requires constant deception.

Hunter Biden has a train of a dozen lawyers defending him on felony indictments ranging from several counts of tax fraud to gun violations. From time to time, the contents of his laptop come up, both in these criminal trials and in civil suits. The information on the laptop is, of course, incriminating and useful to various prosecutors and litigants.

Yet Hunter himself is suing the computer repairman with whom he dropped off his laptop and never retrieved—and never paid—despite signing a waiver relinquishing ownership if and when in default of payment and claim.

But the weirdest element of the Biden labyrinth of illegality is that both Hunter and his attorneys footnote their writs and statements with the inexplicable notion that the laptop is not necessarily Hunter’s own—but then again, it could be.

In other words, they are not presenting evidence to show that either the photographs, texts, or emails are concocted, even while they are suing various parties for defamatory dissipation of the sort of true, sort of false contents. Translated: The surreal truth is that Hunter is very mad that what he did illegally in part is evidenced on his own laptop, and he wants that information either suppressed or disowned, but without perjuring himself by stating the material on his laptop is not his own—because of course it is his.

The same alternate universe surrounds Joe Biden’s cognitive decline. To prove that the Biden administration’s appointed special counsel was unprofessional and in error by referencing proof of Biden’s dementia, Biden gave a sudden and unusual press conference.

But almost immediately, he lost his temper.

Ping! Out to the Victor Davis Hanson list

Furthermore, it is President Joe Biden who serially raises the tragic death of Beau (who died in a Washington, D.C., hospital from a glioblastoma brain tumor), often among grieving gold star families, by falsely stating variations of “We lost Beau in Iraq.”

Note Biden’s general disconnect: serial lies about special counsel Hur’s report; lies that Trump’s once secure border is somehow responsible for Biden’s by-design open border; lies that Trump caused the Putin invasion of Ukraine on Biden’s watch that never occurred on Trump’s.

Hunter has been making all 16 of his lawyers in a torrent of
cases across the US go through this charade of pretending that
<><>his laptop is not his laptop,
<><>is probably not real,
<><>or it was stolen,
<><>or maybe hacked?

It’s hard to keep track.

Hunter’s lawyers now swim in the same soup of delusion that Hunter and his father do.

It does make life more difficult for lawyer Lowell, as he has
to write voluminous footnotes on all his filings explaining that,
<><>while he might be suing this person for breach of privacy
<><>or that person for stealing Hunter’s property,
<><>it doesn’t mean it’s actually his client’s laptop.

Lawyer Lowell’s lot in life.......cruel punishment having to wade through the muck of
Hunter’s laptop......the constant threat of being ambushed by hundreds of Hunter’s selfies
<><>selfies of Hunter’s erect penis,
<><>selfies of Hunter’s penis adorned with M&Ms,
<><>suggesting Hunter liked his lady of the evening to eat them
<><>there’s Hunter’s obsession with the size of his penis
<><>there’s Hunter’s penis flanked by a ruler,
<><>selfie’s of Hunter’s penis being massaged by a pair of dainty feet,
<><>sometimes Hunter simply flopped his penis into a pizza in a hotel room in Vegas.

Probably no voluptuary in history was as obsessed with his penis as was Hunter Biden.

You just have to wonder what his “kindly, well meaning father” gave the adolescent Hunter in the
way of sex education that caused Hunter to have such an extraordinary obsession with his penis.

It may just have occurred naturally? I have a 3 year old great-grandson who cannot leave his “tool” alone. By the time our little one gets bigger, he will have learned that is not appropriate, you can bet if that was Hunter, the perv-in-chief would not correct him, obviously, rather he’d exclaim “That’s My Boy!”

“Hunter and his attorneys footnote their writs and statements with the inexplicable notion that the laptop is not necessarily Hunter’s own—but then again, it could be.”

The judges in the laptop case shouldn’t be allowing this deception. More evidence of the perversion of justice in the US. If the laptop isn’t Hunter’s he has no standing to sue the repair shop owner. If the laptop is Hunter’s then this is a contract case. Did Hunter sign a document acknowledging if he failed to pick up the laptop and pay for it within so many days ownership transferred to the repair shop? If so, the case should be a slam dunk in favor of the repair shop owner. Instead of dragging on for years in an effort to bankrupt the shop owner, the case could have been tried and a verdict rendered in a couple of hours.

Excellent article by VDH on how the narrative of Hunter's laptop keeps changing. To be honest, I too have had trouble keeping up with what the current lie is supposed to be.

But never forget that as much as we say "Hunter's laptop", what the real story is about is that it has damning evidence about Hunter's father.

Should a senile old man be the leader of the free world?
Conservative Woman UK ^ | 17 Feb 2024 | Donald Forbes

NO ONE outside the White House and a handful of top Democratic and Republican leaders knows the full extent of Joe Biden’s control of his own presidency.

Ordinary mortals (aka voters) must rely for evidence of his senility on what they see on television during Biden’s unavoidable public appearances. Even then, the loyal media cover him with excuses that sometimes unblushingly stretch credulity.

There’s been a strong suspicion from the start that Biden has been the puppet of his praetorian guard led by National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and perhaps, behind the scenes, Barack Obama. Biden has been an executive president in name only.

It’s been like this throughout his presidency but it became an inescapable issue when special counsel Robert Hur declined to prosecute him for illegally retaining classified documents because he was ‘a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory’ whom a jury would decline to convict. Hur is a Trump appointee but the killer phrase was left in his report by Biden’s own Department of Justice despite White House pleas for its removal.

Senility is irreversible and progressive whether it goes rapidly or slowly. Biden is not going to improve during the election campaign or in the next four years if he is returned to office.
