I've worked with women who also refused to do more in order to avoid making more money, not because of government handouts, but because of calculations for alimony and child support.
Between women subsidized by taxpayers, ex-husbands, or unmarried fathers, there's a large portion of the workforce that are subsidized single mothers. One outcome is that it suppresses pay and compensation as employers seek these women out and then turn around and try to force men to accept the same lower wages.
Understand those situations…but this woman comes right out and says why she’s doing it. Alimony and child support have nothing to do with it.
