Our daughter graduated from HS in 2000. She told us that in one of her classes she was the only student with their mother and father still married.
We still are married - 47 in June. Though I confess I still often wonder about the mental processes of women. They are wired differently than men, no doubt about that. LOL
My ex and I divorced after ten years. It just didn’t work - I was not an ideal husband nor was she an ideal wife. But we worked together on the kids and they have all turned out okay - IMHO. Sometimes you just have to make the best of it. Do I wish we had had a happy marriage? Yes. I have eight siblings... half divorced at some point, half have already celebrated 30 - 40 - 50 year anniversaries. The kids... well, a mixed bag but all generally successful. C’est la vie.
