Russian law basically REQUIRES all means available to deal with an attack on the homeland, and thanks to the IDIOCY of the Neocons, a decent chunk of what was Ukraine is now part of the Russian homeland, at least as far as the people who hold the keys to the Russian nuclear weapons are concerned.
