But are we bringing in new recruits?

The only problem with the FR is being open to the general public without requiring registration and login to read it.

Why is that a "problem"? Casting a wider net for exposure to more individuals can't hurt. Readers may become lurkers; lurkers may become FReepers. In any case they will get info here that they will not get elsewhere.

Saving bump. It’s hard to find an hour to sit and watch a video when I could read a transcript in 15-20 minutes.

But thanks!

A new Trump DoJ should investigate these companies for election interference. The C-suite officers who set the conspiracy in motion should the personally liable. The downline employees who facilitated the conspiracy should be liable. Every person in the company involved in the election interference should have their assets frozen and THEN, be brought up on charges.

We have actually had a free speech site just like you describe for about five years now if you are ever interested. Same values as the FR but but we can speak much more freely because the front door is closed and member’s security/anonymity is absolutely priority #1...

So, what is it?

Ya know how we all are missing Rush SO much, and no one seems to have picked up the mantle?

It's tough to pick up the mantle of a One-of-a-Kind!

I apologize for the delay in reply. Been out of town, I owe you a comprehensive reply and it was hard to do it from my phone.

But let me start with this, protection of member’s personal information. First thing very important to consider is that this is no longer the 90s and we are not in Kansas anymore. Free speech is not free, Conservatives and Christians are being targeted by agencies. Having it open to the public is >a huge billboard of “probable cause” and evidence for authorities to secure warrants for personal user information<.

Does the FR have the time, energy or financial assets to fight against a warrant for this personal information? Are the members going to come up with enough financial support to fight against a warrant? The domain will only have two options, hand over this sensitive information on their members or purge everything and shut it down to protect their members. Being closed to the general public give the domain a totally different legal status as a private club which immediately creates a huge road block against justification and probable cause to get a warrant.

Personal information will not just be IP addresses. it will also include email and credit card data that can be traced directly to real names, physical addresses, phone numbers that can be tracked, and unique device ID numbers that can be followed around the internet with all surfing tracked elsewhere also.

Folks are waking up to this reality and are becoming cautious about sharing content, opinions, replies, and comments. I suspect it is part of why traffic, participation, and donations have been down here the last year and a half. The risk and threat is now very real and folks are realizing this and are apprehensive. And every Conservative and Christian absolutely has very good reason to be worried... We ain’t in Kansas anymore...
