Amusing how history keeps repeating itself
Please keep in mind that there is still an enormous amount of the COVID era $$$$ in the system. Until this runs out - possibly this year, all the standard indications for a recession which we see today may not be as predictive as in the past
The thing is, once you have crossed the Rubicon, there is no going back. Revolutions are the remedy, not pleasant but unavoidable
Executive Order 10988 - JFK. Authorized collective bargaining for government employees - opened a can of worms

Wasn’t that codeword Buckhead? (who discovered the typewriter font discrepency?)
And LBJ codified it into law thus allowing almost permanent FedGov unions. The federal government is 25.1% unionized. Total percent public employee credit unions is 33%-32%.
Not codeword, the FReeper’s name was Buckhead. He was an Atlanta area FReeper, who’s name was taken from the rich (and then crimefree) Buckhead section of Atlanta.
In 2004, Dan Rather (What’s the Frequency, Kenneth), presented documents alleging that President George W. Bush had shirked his duties in the Texas Air National Guard during the 1970s. These documents were supposedly typed on a typewriter by Colonel Jerry Killian, one of Bush’s commanders. Rather aired this story on CBS’s “60 Minutes II” less than two months before the 2004 presidential election.

Discussion quickly spread to various weblogs in the blogosphere, principally Little Green Footballs and Power Line. The initial analysis appeared in posts on Free Republic by “Buckhead”, a username of Harry W. MacDougald, an Atlanta attorney who had worked for conservative groups such as the Federalist Society and the Southeastern Legal Foundation, and who had helped draft the petition to the Arkansas Supreme Court for the disbarment of President Bill Clinton. MacDougald questioned the validity of the documents on the basis of their typography, writing that the memos were “in a proportionally spaced font, probably Palatino or Times New Roman”, and alleging that this was an anachronism: “I am saying these documents are forgeries, run through a copier for 15 generations to make them look old. This should be pursued aggressively.”
shannon along with many of the FNc crew are left wing as far as women voting goes we need some great conservative women to explain it to us.
NOw you are talking mess them up by rail, truck and plane and listen to them squeal.
most executive orders can be killed from what i have read.
I remember it well, I had literally just signed on days prior. My Sister and I had just gone to a protest at Boston Common after Fat Albert contested his election v Bush Jr. There were 6-8 people holding up FreeRepublic.com signs, so I put on my ancient phone, the address and checked into it when we got home.
In typical Boston Fashion, there were 4 Libs there as opposed to 400 Patriots. Who did Channel 7 focus on exclusively? You got it! the three Libs, no crowd shots.
Been here lurking ever since.
True, but these are rule changes made through the Administrative Procedures Act and become “law”. They are administered by the federal agency in charge of all hiring and giring - the Office of Personnel Management, so cannot hire or fire without going through them. But Trump could declare a “climate emergency” etc. and even Martial Law and get it done.
Thanks.
