It is not a “skiff” but rather a dhow. Even without the sail, it is a dhow.

Roger.

I was drawn to the use of the terms- massive and skiff. I think of a cargo ship’s hold or an oil tanker’s hold as a space capable of holding a massive amount of something of value.

A dhow’s hold wouldn’t ordinarily do it for me either.

However, 80 tons of seized cocaine MIGHT meet the definition of a massive bust, owing to the unique subject matter and its estimated street value.

I COULD see a dhow hauling that massive of an amount of cocaine.

Journalism has definitely become more dumbed down, than ever in history.

The recent crash of a USMC helicopter had some very inaccurate if not misleading headlines that went uncorrected for days.

Paraphrasing:

USMC helicopter found while rescue teams search for five marines.

The rub was that this misleading headline and many others like it gave the families a sense of false hope.
