BIDEN going after “Dollar stores” for NOT having MEAT & FRESH PRODUCE.
There is NO reason for them to do so.
The ‘Convenience stores’ at the gas stations do not have those items, either.
Another example of Biden interfering with a system that works.
In an interview with a Soviet man in the late 1980s I remember him saying about our American production and trucking and shipping methods to retail stores “your government distribution system here is much more efficient than ours.”
The Left is planning to have that system forced onto America now. “You will own nothing and like it.” And a mangled supply chain will supply our potatoes and gruel for use to wait in line to receive.
Two different things.
What Is the Difference Between Net Profit and Margin? Net profit is the dollar figure that shows the profit that remains after subtracting the cost of goods sold, operating expenses, taxes, and interest on debt. Margin is a percentage that shows profit compared to revenue.
“Grocery prices, they are important to people because they pay those prices every week,”
This dude is a genius.
This dude is a genius.
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Kamala Harris is her speechwriter.
Rent control?
TOTAL control????
Jimmy Carter wage and price controls.
Because it worked so well in the past.
I thought Nixon was the Wage and Price Control guy.
The “Biden Measurement Standard” is in full effect. A pound is now 12 ounces. A dozen is now 10.
Liberals love jobs when it’s the government creating them, as in the “Shovel Ready Jobs’’ boondoddgle.
Grocery business had always very low profitability.
There is huge competition.
The grocers make money on volume.
They make small profit on big volume, so they can stay in business.
But that means, they really would have very hard time lowering prices even more and still staying in business.
Grocery usually spend about 60-70% on the merchandize, about 30+% on workers and facilities and they get away with the 1-3% profit. If they have to follow Biden, they would have to
1. laid off many workers and lower the facilities quality etc.
2. somehow force the suppliers to lower their prices.
3. go out of business
Let’s ask Brandon, which of those he prefers.
I’ve noticed that in the last 10-15 years stores have cut the amount of workers significantly.
Maybe this could be the gross profit?
Retailers usually rise the price of merchandize they receive by about a third. But almost all that money covers their expenses like work force (by far the biggest expense!), advertisements, shrink, distribution and facilities.
The net profit is minuscular.
Yes, this is the best way of cutting costs. Especially when minimum wages are skyrocketing.
Retail was always a great starting place to get some job, if you lacked any particular skill.
Democrats are making sure that may not be the case in the future.
Price controls...
Where have I heard that before?
Back in the ‘70’s?
Jimmah cahtah?
Off the shelf medicine, increased 58% over the last 3 years.
Was $11:94, then $14.94, then $17.94, and today, $18.9.
That is one thing that is going away here in Kansas, sales tax on groceries. Amazingly enough, it was proposed, passed and signed into law by our Democrat Governor, Laura Kelly.
You mean invisible jobs.
This is what Hugo Chavez did in Venezuela which let to massive food shortages and people eating the animals in the zoos.
Biden is Hugo 2.0
