“I hope we'll impeach Secretary Mayorkas tonight, but the buck stops with Joe Biden,” Rep. Jim Banks says.
An influential House member and leading candidate for U.S. Senate is urging his Republican colleagues to follow up their vote Tuesday night on impeaching Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas by expanding the impeachment inquiry against Joe Biden to include the border crisis.
“I hope we'll impeach Secretary Mayorkas tonight, but the buck stops with Joe Biden,” Rep. Jim Banks, R-Ind., told Just the News in an exclusive interview Tuesday afternoon with the John Solomon Reports podcast. “All of the reasons that you're impeaching Secretary Mayorkas are doubly important to impeaching Joe Biden."
Banks is an influential voice in the House GOP conference having served previously as the chairman of the Republican Study Committee and now as a member of the select committee on communist China. He also is the leading contender for the GOP nomination for U.S. Senate in Indiana, where Sen. Mike Braun is stepping down to run for governor.
Banks said he has confidence that after the Mayorkas vote that House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan will help craft articles of impeachment against Biden that includes dereliction of duty at the southern U.S. border, where millions of illegal aliens have flooded into the country on his watch.
“If there's ever the right guy in the right place at the right time, it’s Chairman Jim Jordan of the Judiciary Committee,” Banks said. “I have no doubt that that when we get to the articles of impeachment, the border has to be one of the main articles, on top of the corruption, on top of everything else this administration has done to abuse its power, to abuse the privileges of being president, to cover up Hunter Biden's crimes and then to politicize

Democrats march in lock step, won’t impeach Biden for anything. The GOP throws out reps bc of pending investigations. Is Cori Bush getting expelled for her self-dealing with campaign funds? Nah. Menendez? Nope. Omar? Not a chance.

It’s the dems that want him gone, now being egged on by the Obama cabal. I don’t want GOP fingerprints on this at all, though they will be blamed for it anyway. Just sit back and watch the show.
The best thing to do is delay the process so it doesn’t happen at the time the left wants it to happen. Time is ticking quickly to the DNC convention in August and the November election.
