Conservatives have speculated that Michelle Obama could replace Biden in the presidential race.
Former first lady Michelle Obama has no plans on replacing President Joe Biden in the 2024 presidential election, former Obama White House advisor David Axelrod said.
Axelrod told CNN host Michael Smerconish on Saturday that Michelle Obama "never was interested in a political life" even though her husband, former President Barack Obama, ran for U.S. Senate in 2004 and later served in the White House from 2009 to 2017. "She is not someone who likes politics. She doesn't like the tone and tenor of politics."
Speaking to the possibility of Michelle Obama replacing Biden on the Democratic ticket, Axelrod said: "I would be floored if she would consent to that. They feel that they gave 10 years of their life to this. And I'm sure she feels as Barbara Bush did when she said there has to be someone other than the Bushes and the Clintons who could be President of the United States. My guess is that's her attitude."
Conservatives, meanwhile, have speculated that Michelle Obama could replace Biden in the presidential race.
"I think that it should not be shocking to see someone like Michelle Obama take the role of the nomination," former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy told Fox News Digital on Saturday.
After the special counsel's report on Biden's alleged mishandling of classified materials was released, Ramaswamy said that the former first lady offers Democrats "a convenient path out of that problem" because she is "an alternative to Biden that they may view as more palatable in a general election."
Texas GOP Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said Friday on X, formerly Twitter: "I’ve said for over a year many times that Joe Biden would not be on the ticket and Michelle Obama would be the likely nominee. It’s clear the Democrat deep state run by Barack Obama knew they had to take him down to give them a chance in November."
Look up on Twitter Richard Baris. He is LS’s guy and extremely accurate.
okay, maybe not a full blown donnybrook, but at least a rhubarb for sure ...
Who says she would have to? Until this current drama, Biden has had mostly three years of consistent support from Democrats around the country while being the same confused, whispering and exclaiming gaffe machine that they're now suddenly concerned about. It's not like people who supported him didn't see it. You can go on and on about low information voters all you like, but most people saw it enough to know that boy ain't right.
However, it's what they also saw that made them not care: pipelines canceled, regulations increased, trans and diversity put front and center, abortion loudly defended, spending up and up, and the border wide open. Biden could shuffle around all day looking for his next pudding pop for all they cared because obviously someone else was working overtime to make Democrat wish lists into reality, and so as long as a D not an R occupies 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, all is right in Ratland.
Which leads us back to Michelle Obama taking up residence instead of Biden and not having to give up any of her current life. In fact, with the same media who told us she was the most glamorous First Lady of all again covering her ample caboose, it's easy to see them spinning an A-List hobnobbing presidency by her as bringing the office into the 21st century while the work of the country is maintained by the same people who kept it moving forward during Biden's time in office. There isn't a Democrat out there who would object the slightest peep except for a gin-soaked, cabbage and fart smelling hag from Chappaqua with a penchant for being tossed into vans like a sack of potatoes.
Biden is certainly electable if Trump insists on reminding voters why they don’t like him. It’s all in Trump’s hands.
I originally thought it would have been Newsom for President.
The Clinton Machine is clearly using the MSM to kick Biden to the curb.
Now I’m thinking its Hillary-Newsom.
CA abandoned the Clintons after 2016.
Bill is going to try and re-unite them.
A big gamble.
I’m sorry to say that I don’t know what “rhubarb” means. I learned all my hockey player chatter from watching Letterkenny, and I don’t remember them ever saying that one.
“rhubarb” is an OLD expression! ... apparently, “donnybrook” is very old too and actually comes from Ireland ... and there’s the more modern “fracus” ...
“Has no plans” is a far cry from “will not ever.”
She could say she had no plans, until something happened to Biden (likely imminent).
