“Russians have some of the best hackers in the world. I am sure besides Starlink they are using any cell towers and GPS systems (Europe or American) they need to send their drones accurately.”

The Starlink system has almost pinpoint accuracy to where the dish is located without need for any terrestrial assets. The dish it’s self has a geolocation system incorporated. And each device can be turned off as they like.

This is why it does no good to try and use Starlink as a mobile unit without paying them extra for the optional mobile feature. Their location system sees the dish changing location and shut it off.

All a Russian would have to do is buy the service under a phony Ukrainian identity with mobile service. As long as the service is available in Ukraine it is likely impossible to stop a bad guy from using it.
