Yes and no. The Russians had some well-trained units on Day One that were destroyed due to crappy logistics, bad leadership, etc.
Now they may get better at fighting the war but they're going to have to fight with conscripts.
Fighting with conscripts, not to mention prisoners offered inducement of release if they survive 6 months. I’ve seen reports that these released combat survivors are considered by other Russians as rather undesirable in their neighborhoods.
