Drugs and alcohol are decimating what is left of America’s Indians. In the Arctic region of northern Alaska, the landscape is littered with wrecked, expensive trucks in which drugged or drunk young Indians were maimed or killed. The native tribes are flush with cash from oil royalties. Few really benefit.
Yes. We had a visiting doctor come to our high school for a presentation (I was the teacher at the time). He had just come back from a rotation on a Native American reservation in Alaska - said he left very saddened.
Many, if not most, have diabetes and live on junk food, they haul in pallets of Coca-cola which they seem addicted to, drugs and alcohol have decimated them as well.
He said he wasn’t sure he could even help them, only treat their symptoms.
the fewer the indians the more the remaining indians get in casino cash etc....fewer people to distribute the money to.
