Ted Cruz did him big-time dirty by preposterously (and self-servingly) laying the blame on Trump for the violence committed by anarchist and communist mobs during the 2020 primary season.
Trump could, justifiably, still have it in for Cruz for that cheapest of shots. Yet, no...smooth sailing between Trump and Cruz.
Now, Chris Christie? He’s signaled he has no interest in reconciling with Trump. So Trump will, once again justifiably, continue to take small- to medium-sized pieces out of Christie’s hide as appropriate opportunities to do so arise.
And don’t forget Cruz’s refusal to endorse Trump during that infamous speech of his at the 2016 Republican convention.
