I am absolutely with you on that. I prefer the “Why can’t we all just get along?” approach.
I served over 30 years and know what a great asset he could be. I couldn't recommend he enter until they straighten out their act. Maybe when Trump gets back? But I'm afraid radicals and weirdos are deeply embedded and have to be removed first and the culture changed. That will take a long time. The mRNA "vaccine" mandates have made the situation even worse. Who wants to risk long-term problems from command stupidity and lawless orders? By then he will likely be off on a different track in civilian life with a young family.
I think his story could be repeated thousands of times throughout America. You can see it in the recruiting numbers.
god bless your grandson, and let me extend that to you and his parents. With the way he’s being raised, he sounds like a fine young man who will excel in anything he wants. He’s the future of our country.

Agree. However.. from documentaries to movies about WW2.. they only won because they had a wife, children, mom, dad and many people to fight for.
A soldier cut off from these ties can’t win in the long haul, though their sociopathic tendencies may win short term, especially with their pathological narcissism.

That sounds like an un-diagnosed case of dyslexia.
We had a staff sergeant in our squadron who was very sharp and fortunately his dyslexia was correctly diagnosed. It caused issues but his awareness of it helped him mitigate it's difficulties.
He was able to select a viable career track, at least to tech sergeant, when he PCS'd from our base.
Your grandson sounds great.
Let him hone his skills on his own time to defend your family.
