Because a large plurality of Americans still assert individual rights over collective rights or the interests of ruling classes.
This puts us at odds with countries like Russia and China (and Democrats) where individuals have revocable privileges that come and go based on dictatorial whim.
Our concept of God-given rights is a mortal threat to such people. They cannot peacefully coexist with us in the long term.
Russia is not perfect by any means, however your description of Russia is an anachronism to the 1950s Soviet Union. Russians have private ownership and economic freedoms that match the United States in many respects.
