By painting Biden as an “elderly man with poor memory,” it appears that Hur is working hand in glove with those plotting to replace Biden at some point with another candidate (Newsome? Big Mike?).

Gingrich is suggesting big Mike or someone else, e.g., the governor of Pennsylvania. He recently gave his budget speech in the PA capitol building, a very imposing building, with everyone assembled sitting below him looking up at him. The Republican leader in the PA Senate said the whole thing was posed to make Josh Shapiro look presidential. The commentators are marveling about how well he speaks, how charming and personable he is. Democrats are looking for someone like this and Shapiro is positioning himself to be available.

This is the plan. Democrats are lining up substitutes even as we speak. They will coalesce around a candidate during their convention and that’s who will face Trump. So, all of the Trump acolytes chortling about how easy it will be for their boy to beat Biden, quoting polls, etc., are missing the boat as usual. Trump won’t be facing Biden.
