I knew that COVID-19⁸⁴ was a evil, shocking moment in time. I DID think it had a very "Mark of the Beast" feel to it - surreal - and yes, more surreal than what I felt in 2008 and that was quite palpable.

I had no idea it would bring on a quasi-Mark-of-the-Beast-type payment system into grocery stores, so quickly.

Along with the rampant theft.
