I followed the trial. There was never any such evidence produced at the trial (i.e., that the kid told his parents he was going to go shoot up the school; that the parents not only ignored it, but went out and bought him the gun!).
So, yeah; you lied.
Just because it could not be allowed at trial does not mean it did not happen.
Did you follow the kids trial?
Did you listen to the kids friends?
Yes, he did tell them what he was going to do, that is why the investigation into the parents began.
