Exactly! If you’re going to buy a gun for your underaged kid, try to determine exactly how crazy they are before you buy them one. If they’re mass murdering crazy, don’t do it.

Civilly, yes; criminally, no.
I followed the trial. The defense counsel brought up a good point: She argued that if a parent bought a cell phone for his or her teenager, and that teenager used that phone to send pornographic content that was illegal, would the parent also be seen to have committed the crime? No.
Release the pharmaceuticals the child was prescribed. This is the common denominator and the parents are just the scapegoats.
I think the parents can make the defense that if schools can gender transition without parents, then the school is solely responsible.
This is a mixed bag here... If they knew their sone was in mental distress, and had a gun that they provided and did nothing, then there is culpability here.
Didn’t follow the trial, so I don’t know if the state really proved the parents were aware of his mental delcine/issue.
I’ve personally witnessed a person have mental breakdown, literally were perfectly fine 1 second and ripping their clothes off screaming crazy things the next... without warning.
Again I didn’t follow this trial, so I can’t say if a reasonable parent would know this kid was “falling down” or not. Clearly with 4 dead kids, a jury is going to want to assign blame if they can... Hindsight is always 20/20, real time is not.
Did she buy him the gun or did she buy it for herself and he took it? I don’t remember what was the case.
They bought him the gun and taught him to shoot, acc to what I heard.
