It can be turned into Gummies or Butters which have a much longer shelf life. There are any number of products that can be made from it.
My sister in law in California has become quite adept at that.

I have as well. Time consuming, but fun.
Haven’t done it in a while because I have two legal shops within walking distance.
I’m guessing it’s not like it disintegrates on the shelf but that the THC in it loses IT’S potency?
