Someone coughed up enough cash to make it worth it to her.
Maybe a desired committee position.
Kevin McCartheys people
I was wondering if her idea of “tyranny” and mine were the same.
My first thought when reading the headline was don’t tell me another RINO recants leaving the country.
Her wiki is interesting.
She is Ukraine born. Degrees from universities in Kiev. Another from a US univ.
She is not a McCarthy minion. Voted against him early 2023, after voting for him. Not really clear that was finger in the wind stuff because she voted for him later.
She is quoted to say she wants to stay because there is now a stronger Speaker.
She is pro Ukraine, as she would have to be, but that seems to extend vehemently sideways to being anti Yermak, who is the main Zelensky mouthpiece in the govt and maybe more than that. She seems to hate the guy as profoundly corrupt.
She went public as such and was told her quotes were helping the Russians. She shut up and referred the matter to State and CIA, who promptly ignored it.
My read is she is not all that squishy, not really quite Swamp, but not chest beating MAGA. She won a close election and then the district was redrawn and it’s now very safe for her.
Perhaps, or perhaps it's like The Mob, "Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in."
Some more about her.
She is not one of those ubiquitous DC childless women. Two kids with an American she met on a train.
She lives/lived in an Indiana trailer park — that she and hubby owns. Her US masters degree is in something businessy.
I do not get Swamp vibes. She is not MAGA because she is not loud about it, but I get no squishy palms waiting to be greased vibes. She is aggressive in farming policy, which is her district.

Who the hell is ‘she’?
She’s my representative
I don’t always agree with everything she does, but there’s really no politician that fits that criteria
I actually thought she’d decided to run again a while back
I still get ye glossy mailbox fillers from her regularly like everyone else running this year. I hate those things
Is it too late to primary her?
Maybe the perks of the job are too much to give up?
OR....she had/has something in her kit bag that is damaging but no one has or can find out about now. Ergo, stay on the DC Gravy Train.
Another foreign-born RINO overseeing our demise...

“Is it too late to primary her?”
If she can file for reelection, certainly somebody else can file for election, maybe the people already running since she announced her retirement.
Their primary is May 7th.
“I will file this week. The country is too much in trouble,”
Until she defines what “Trouble” is the her statement means nothing. The democrats use that line all the time.
