A serial transit offender that cops say should be in the subway crimes “Hall of Fame” was arrested for 171st time – but wasn’t prosecuted, according to police officials and sources.
Michael Wilson, 37, was nabbed illegally selling MetroCard swipes in his 27th arrest in the past eight months alone but Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office let him off without prosecution “in the interest of justice,” according to sources.
“If there was a hall of fame for Subway offenders — this guy would be a first ballot inductee,” NYPD Chief of Transit Michael Kemper wrote in a scathing X post.
“And yet, certain parts of our criminal justice system seem to think otherwise.”
Bragg’s office hasn’t prosecuted fare evasion since 2017.

Wanna bet?
Color me shocked.
polka dotted?
He is working hard to do his part to make living in NYC as miserable and dangerous as possible to demonstrate to all the moronic NYC voters the error of their ways.
New York City is going to have to hit rock bottom before any meaningful change happens and this guy is boldly leading the charge to the bottom.
Dude is a walking Public Service Announcement and we should all be thanking him for his service.
Alvin Bragg should be stripped naked in all his gross obesity and dragged for miles over broken glass. That might approximate the misery he has loosed upon NYC by his racist dumb*** mutation of interpreting the law.
Won’t not prosecuting it since 2017 just keep encouraging more of it?
I’m confused if the purpose of the DA is to help the community as a whole.
Frankly, I feel that since city, hotel, and other taxes usually go (some, anyway) to the local metro district, there shouldn’t be any charges for this “service”.
It’s multiple taxation (ie: THEFT) by our government leeches.
