Russian forces are pushing hard to take the Ukrainian stronghold of Avdiivka. But why?
In this video, we do a deep analysis on Russia's staggering losses, including infantry, tanks, and heavy equipment. We talk about why Russia wants the city so badly, what Vladimir Putin's stake in it is, and how it all connects back to Russia's invasion of Crimea and the War in the Donbas.
You are welcome. Trying my best :)<
You sure are, mommy.
You're shoveling out more propaganda than Axis Sally and Tokyo Rose combined.
(I know how this meme drives you up the wall.)
I see the Ukrainian propaganda machine is holding your common sense for ransom. 😏
>Russian advances in Avdiivka, which increasingly looks likely to become the first Ukrainian city to fall since the capture of Bakhmut last May, are the direct result of acute ammunition shortage — caused by the U.S. Congress withholding further military aid to Ukraine.<
If you’re so concerned, send Zelensky a personal check.
>So. What, in the categories of “brains” and “history”, are we to cross swords about?<
Stand back FReepers, the foreigner is about to show us all how “superior” he is.

Well, I am NOT American.
I COULD have been American, anytime in the last 40 years, but I chose not to be.
So hear this, from an interested outsider, with plenty of experience in the world - this rage, this hatred, is not not good. It is not holy, not ethical, not prudent, and not sane. It is sinful and can only lead to worse things. Look into yourself, go to confession if you are Catholic, and perhaps look into a retreat -

You need help.

I AM superior. I can’t help that, it is simply so.
You, on the other hand, are resentful. That is an...uglier state of being.

Once again, thank you for researching these sources. It looks like this one is trying to grow. It may or may not be a little late in the game for them and their T-shirt business.
And, if the Russians were desperate, they'd be moving a lot faster than they are rather than grinding the Ukrainian army into dust.
Is that crossing swords?
Looks more like you are trying to spit. Not a good look.
Please help me to understand why this is so important to you and why any of these things makes this website’s or any similar website’s information suspect?
I get that you feel this is noteworthy since this is your trademark complaint here since I first noticed you here, but I truly do not understand your point.
If making money from one’s efforts is somehow wrong, then wouldn’t this standard make virtually all news websites illegitimate?
Using Tucker Carlson’s example, you know he is being paid, right? Do you not trust his work and/or his opinions, because you do know he makes money from them, right?
I really and truly am trying to understand you, okay? Please help me to understand what is it about making money from the work one does would automatically disqualify that work’s legitamacy?
The Russians cannot more quickly, else they would.
It is extremely inefficient to grind armies to dust.
Much better to break through and maneuver them into “pockets”, or even just get then to flee and destroy them on the road - ex. “the road of death” ca 1991.
Even the WWII Soviets knew that, and did that.

If thats not the point of these attacks, its because the Russian military is unable to do that. That leaves them with sub-optimal, inefficient methods.
I merely added information to the thread, and more information can be read any way one wishes to take it. You like the Utah-based content creators? Fine. Enjoy. You like their making money? Fine. Buy a t-shirt. Maybe a mug too.
Superior Filipino says what?
One recalls that buwaya the monarchist (no republican he) wrote to bimboeruption:
"I am so conservative that I support the restoration of the Spanish empire under the Bourbon monarchy, and my guides in political philosophy are Thomas Aquinas and De Maistre.Participating in a Free Republic is one whom as documented, finds conservatives on this forum to be "extremist republican liberals."You extremist republican liberals that call themselves 'conservatives' are funny. You have never understood what you are, much less why you are what you are.
And yet, and yet ...
We actual, genuine conservatives in the great old European tradition see an assertion that we dispute as a challenge to argument, an 'en garde', to a civilized crossing of blades. As did, note, Thomas Aquinas, as his 'Summa' is really a guide to arguments.
Throwing garbage is not defending your position. It is boorish and disorderly behavior best suppressed by the monarch."
Sometimes it is good to recall, and revisit. What one states is what one states. In a superior manner, of course.
This is because he thinks a "genuine conservative" can be a monarchist. Who can "suppress" behavior. That can be characterized as a "great old European tradition." In quite a number of instances and incarnations. None of them republican.
Ah but a non-royal did the last of the House of Bourbon become, as Louis XVI was named "Citizen Capet," who was "guillotined in the Place de la Révolution in Paris on January 21, 1793."
A wee bit of history. Let's lift a glass of Kentucky Bourbon to the Bourbons gone by, and the fact that that "restoration of the Spanish empire under the Bourbon monarchy" isn't in the offing anytime soon. Cheers.
The United States lost 291,557 in World War II

The United States lost 408,000. RIP
I only listed military deaths.

408,000 is military deaths - civilian is 15,300 deaths. RIP
And if it’s posted here, I’m not even giving them the benefit of my clicking on their site. It’s posted here for free and they get nothing. Isn’t that a good thing if you don’t want them to get paid?
During the covid plandemic, so many voices were censored and silenced who would have told us about alternative medications and the risks and dangers of the vaxx. But, we were not allowed to hear them. They were silenced, mocked and ridiculed, as were any who listened to them.
And now it’s like deja vu all over again with news, oops, I’m sorry, with “propaganda” from Ukraine, a country we are supporting, who is fighting for its survival, life and existence, against Russia, who has been our traditional foe directly or via proxy since the end of WWII.
Being able to hear (read) what is happening there from both Russia’s and Ukraine’s point of view, and then being able to review those reports in hindsight as the truth slowly becomes more clear over time, is eminently instructive about truth and whose voices you can and can’t trust, as well as the methodology used to mislead us all.
This information and the helpful comments from fellow FReeprs is very helpful instruction(!), especially so coming durning an election season when truth is rarely welcomed by one or both sides.
I truly a sad that is not allowed here on FR now as it used to be and, based upon observation, you are one of the louder voices in that effort, so I thank you for taking the time to help me understand why. I still don’t get you, but I do want to understand you.
What utter and total nonsense.
The Russians have all the territory they wanted going into this war. And, now, are concentrating on destroying the Ukraine army and protecting the annexed territory.
You and your ilk have been consistently clueless about Russia's capabilities and strategy.
We made Russia our enemy. But, even if you consider Russia to be the enemy, underestimating the enemy is an incredibly stupid thing to do.
1) Did you listen to the entire 22 minutes of the Icarus Project YouTube video?
2) Can you cite ANY YouTube video of like kind but somehow with an actual pro-Russian slant, rather than a pro-Ukrainian slant to which you have listened, for the purpose of "deciding?"
Looking forward to your responses.
2) I don’t go looking for things like that. However, there are people here who thankfully post various things here that they find interesting and, if I am so interested, I will look. Same with opinions people write. Some are worth reading! Some are best avoided!! Life is like that everywhere. No worries; I’m not fragile.
I do have a bias, though, but, a few too many head shots and major head traumas later, and I’m trying hard to question things, including my thinking and opinions, and especially so with almost everything not God in this age of near universal deception.
Not to sound too paranoid, but few things are as they appear, so it’s good to ask questions and peek behind the curtain, as you seem to be doing. For this your posts have some value, but the verdict is still out for me on whose truth is closest to being truth.
What I am is truly sad that some here are so good at silencing those voices and “truths” they don’t want to hear, bless their hearts.
Why take two years to destroy an army, and suffer vast human cost and expense all the while, if “by the books” it could be done in a few weeks? And those “books” are old Soviet doctrine, which, note, they attempted to follow in 2/2022.
It’s because Russia can’t run this war according to their doctrine, because they quickly discovered, time after time, that they lack the means to do so.
