Donald Trump said that South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem and Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) are on the short list to be his running mate in the 2024 general election.
He also dispelled rumors that he is considering Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as a vice presidential nominee and said his team never reached out to the independent candidates.
Speaking with Fox News Sunday host Maria Bartiromo, Trump said he won't announce who he plans to run with in the 2024 ticket for 'a while.'

Yes. Tim Scott will totally screw up the campaign in media interviews. He can’t handle them. Donalds and Vivek can.

i’ve been predicting tim scott as a probable VP contender:
Scott fulfills several important VP criteria:
1. pretty much a non-entity (like Pence)
2. willing to exist for four years in a twilight zone of a non-job (like Pence)
3. no threat intellectually (like Pence)
4. likely to toe the MAGA line (like Pence)
5. most importantly though, member of important vocal protected class that normally votes Democrat (unlike Pence) ... plus makes it difficult for the leftist fascist media to attack Trump as racist, and impossible to attack Scott’s race without offending and pissing off the entire cohort at the same time ...
Im not of the mind that the VP needs to be the front runner for 2028 sobi am open to someone who would bring the party unity (if that is realistic). Nikki is a no for me only based on her performance since losing NH but Sununnu would be fine with me. I think he’s a fool but if thry were convinced that he’d play well in a certain demographic and would all but ensure a Trump victory I would find it acceptable. Just don’t give him any power once there. I don’t think it would work out that way but I’m not the type to say if Trump picks X then Im off the train. All thst said, let’s wrap up the primary and not become complacent
I think it will be Scott.
He’ s got to improve with the black and female vote. Maybe either of these or a black woman. One thing for sure he won’t be taking advice from the GOPe. This morning for the first in months since the firing of Tucker I watched Trump’s interview with Maria Bartiromo, it was excellent.
Don’t legitimize rumors.
Black females are a lost cause—time to get real about that.
I would take Noem over Scott
It comes with the territory. What do you think will happen if Trump decides Noem is the VP? MSM will attack, attack and attack.

Go with a hard core conservative instead.
