There are murder sentences less than 25 years. While obviously he shouldn’t be beating his dog (assuming it isn’t a swat with a rolled up newspaper on its butt), 25 years seems a bit long. Maybe it was 5 years for the dog and 20 years for the drugs.

b.s. article. He didnt get 25 years for beating a dog. Hes a convicted felon out on parole, his parole violations are what got him the real time.

My exact thoughts. There may be underlining facts that we are not aware of

A friend of mine shot 5 dogs that were killing his sheep. In Texas this is not a problem. He screwed up when he hung them up on fence line running down a county road.

They got him for animal abuse. Go figure. But then he was fined $100/dog and community service.
